Shaun and Kate - Chic and Stylish Vineyard Magic!
Shaun and Kate were destined to have a luxurious wedding day as they were blessed with impeccable taste and a desire to enjoy every moment in life!
They chose the exclusive Molenvliet Wine Estate as their wedding venue and from that moment onwards the ideas for decor, design and entertainment just flowed between all of us! We have never had a groom more involved than Shaun and greatly enjoyed his input on all levels!
The ceremony took place in one of the gardens on the estate where the couple stood under a lovely gazebo with hanging flowers and ribbons swaying in the breeze. Kate always wanted a colourful affair and so the guests were each given colourful parasols in pink, green, blue or orange to provide shade during the ceremony. A bar was also set up to serve iced water and champagne during the ceremony!
After the ceremony the couple, family and friends were serenaded down to the vineyards by a violinist who led them into a Bedouin tent set up for cocktails and canapés! A live band awaited them to set the fun vibe and guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly while Kate and Shaun had their couple shots taken with the photographer all over the wine estate.
Golf carts were also available to take guests to the bathrooms and eventually to the main reception area for the rest of the evening! It was so enjoyable that some of the groomsmen and guests offered their help so that they could get a chance to sit in the driver’s seat!
The reception was a romantic scene of fairy lights, candles and bright flowers in hundreds of vases lining the two long tables! Each chair had a name card hanging in fisherman style so that guests knew where they were sitting and yet another bar kept drinks flowing for the couple and their guests. Dancing took place under the stars with an awesome dj who is a friend of the grooms and he made it impossible for Kate and Shaun as well as their family and friends to stay off the dance floor!
After the main meal, waiters brought out ice cream cones in special Perspex holders with many individual toppings for the guests to choose from including flake, mini astro’s and so much more! And if this did not satisfy the sweet teeth of some guest’s tiers of individually wrapped cakes were awaiting them as well!
Since dinner took place early and the couple intended for the wedding to continue until the early hours of the morning, the caterers were asked to please serve hotdogs and snacks at midnight which was very well received!
This truly is a wedding to be remembered and it has been spoken of fondly ever since! Mazaltov again to the Duwe’s!!
